Summer may be over, but hurricane season is not
Even though summer officially ended on September 22, hurricane season continues until November 30. Hurricanes and other significant weather events are unpredictable and can leave damage and destruction in their wakes.
Being prepared for any significant weather event, including hurricanes, will help ensure that you and your family stay safe and secure. Major hurricanes are uncommon, but not unheard of, in New England, so being ready is always a good idea. The Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, has put together a handy list of tips and advice on how to prepare your family and your home in the event of a hurricane or other potentially dangerous weather event.
In the event of a pending hurricane or other weather event, please feel free to call your local Bearingstar office for preparedness tips and advice. If you need to file a claim, you can call any Bearingstar location for assistance, or you can visit the “File a Claim” section of our website, where you can find out how to submit your claim directly to your insurance carrier. We are always here and ready to help.
