Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Westport CT
Our Fairfield office has had a team participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer awareness walk for the past six years. This three mile walk is held every third Sunday in October at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT. Team Bearingstar was again a proud participant this year along with 233 other teams. The event, held on 10/19/14, had 1,665 participants and so far has raised over $305,000 for the American Cancer Society.
The Arbella Insurance Foundation generously donated $200 for each walker with Team Bearingstar. The Arbella Insurance Group Charitable Foundation is a not-for-profit private corporation sponsored by Arbella, Inc. The mission of the Foundation is to engage in activities and to support not-for-profit organizations that have a significant positive impact on the people and communities served by Arbella. Bearingstar Insurance is a member of the Arbella Insurance Group.
